With that extra day in February this year passed and march madness now underway we celebrate spring approaching right around the corner. Easter brings new life which means we will have more energy and undoubtedly more fun.  Plus, we can again enjoy that extra option of on foot travel back to our favorite spot or two to imbibe, buddies.  So lets do this.  Lets party some more!

High West Sazerachigh west

Rye is the rage. And if your anything like me or Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, you “JUST WANT TO FIT IN.” So, cowboy up to this killer creation by pouring 2 1/2 oz of High West Double Rye whiskey over ice with one dash of bitters and a 1/2 oz of absinthe or Pernod. Stir, garnish with an orange peel, and enjoy. Pairs well with roast venison and ginger biscuits. Listens well with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly theme by Ennio Morricone. Reads well with Pro Bull Rider Magazine.

caposaldo-pinotCaposaldo Pinot Grigio

This wonderful wine is dry, yet refreshing at the same time. It’s an oak-free, classic Italian white which features a dry, crisp texture joined with delicate scents of fruit, flowers, and almonds. Pairs well with white meats, seafood, some pasta dishes, and delicate cheeses. Listens well with This Is Us by Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler. Reads well with The Book of Jude.

Primaries Pinot Noirprimarius

This distinguished 100% Pinot Noir shares scents of raspberry, cherry, and spice while the flavors carry through each delicious smell. Aged in French oak, a subtle toasty oak note compliments the classic cherry note of this perfect Pinot. Pairs well with sweet-boiled ham or omega 3 rich salmon. Listens well with Sister Rose by 10,000 Maniacs. Reads well with A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

deschuttesDeschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA

This exciting 6.4% alcohol brew truly tantalizes the taste buds and thoroughly refreshes that pretty, big, hole in your face. I’ll admit that at first I was skeptical about loving a beer with a juicy citrus and grapefruit flavor profile, but I do. And you will too. Pairs well with and Asian salad or Asian flavored wings or a tasty tuna melt. Listens well with William Hung’s version of She Bangs. Reads well with Grapefruit: A Book of Instructions and Drawings by Yoko Ono.

MKE Polish Moonpolishmoon_label

Named after the famous Allen Bradley Clock because of it’s placement in Milwaukee’s once predominately Polish neighborhood, this very drinkable black stout sets the pace with coffee and roasted malt flavors. Therefore, it’s not too heavy and distinctively delicious. To my fellow Polish peeps, Polish pride, pals – let’s love on this! Pairs well with BBQ ribs or pork with a mole negro sauce. Listens well with Whoop Polka by Frankie Yankovic. Reads well with The Fisher Folk of Jones Island.
